Wednesday 14th February

She is alive!

8 months later...

The key highlights:

1. Work

Still at the same company, just finishing the graduate scheme so soon I'll be a real person. I am just getting involved with my first project - its a messy one. Start over 2 years ago, has been written, rewritten and abandoned and there still is no set concept paper! Plus there's no official authorisation for the spend - marvellous.

Getting on ok with the people, beginning to feel a bit more involved now so thats good.
to be continued...

Wednesday 21st June

Cough cough poorly Roo

Mood: Poorly

I feel so naughty being at home when I should be at school. However, as soon as I try to do anything beyond sitting still, I starting coughing.

I think if I had been in my normal job I might have gone in - I don't mind coughing all over the guys I know well, but as a guest in a different department, I feel a bit rude coughing all over them. Plus, I need to be paying full attention whilst I'm on my placement, there's lots to learn and much thinking required so if I had gone in I would have felt properly poo by the end of the day. I don't feel so bad now...

Awesome scenes - We have Reading tickets!!!!! Hoooray!!! Already getting excited.

And we're organising a pretty mega week for when Moo is up - MotoGP, Rock city, Frank Turner, Spellbound, Red Hot Chilis, Alton Towers, Scarborough bike week.... It may be expensive but hell it will be fun!

So apart from being poorly, things are looking up for the future...

Wednesday 10th May

Loving the new bike

Happy happy joy joy with the new bike. It does exactly what I wanted it to - its quick, light enough for me to manage and comfy. Super.

Now all we need is a nice long weekend to go out and try the whole camping on the bikes thing. Sounds "interesting" to me, difficult and trying to manage without the things you need. But hey, I'm sure it'll be fun.

Work is busy at the moment, 2 MTRs (Mega Trouble Reports) in process and no time to do anything else.

Home is good. Its a bit messy but we are being good with gradually tidying it up. Food shopping is the only thing I really failed at this week - just didn't buy enough stuff. Never mind, can pop to the shop later or tomorrow and pick up a few more bits. We won't go hungry thats for sure.

D's mum gave me a parrot plant a couple of weeks ago and I've managed to keep it alive so far. From what I've read on tinternet, they're really easy to take cuttings from so hopefully I'll be able to make more. (However, this is what I've done with Boris and now I have 7 spider plants....). I've lopped off the biggest stem in an attempt to make it bush out more rather than being so tall and skinny and stuck the 'spare' stem in some water with growmore and maybe, just maybe it will grow.

We're addicted to 24 now. Moo lent us the first series on DVD and we made the mistake of starting it... Haha, we also watched the first few episodes of Lost series 2 on tele, but that requires us to regularly watch tv at the same time on the same day each week and to be honest, we're not that organised! How sad!

bit of a random post I know. I do hope to get back into more of an interesting analysis type posting mood, but for now, an update on my life will have to do!

Monday 17th April

Little Miss New Hair

Hooray I have dyed my hair this afternoon and its all red and shiny again. It amazing how much confidence its given me - I know it was getting me down before, being a horrible mish mash of bland colours. but then D said the magic words "do what you want" and so i did. Yeah, Ive got a sensible job and am settling down a bit, but hell, if I want red hair then ill have red hair thank you.

In another slightly rebellious moment, Ive bought another bike. Its a Kawasaki GPz500 and its awesome. It is exactly what I wanted and was beginning to believe didnt exist, but its sitting in the garage now, just waiting for me to get it insured and taxed. Its gonna get me to work as long as its dry, and itll also handle our trip to Germany next year. I cant wait!!

Sorry about the lack of punctuation, but apostrophe key doesnt seem to be working...
